Sea jewellery inspired by the myths and object found by the sea. We call this our Selkie Collection.
The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder for ever, said Jacques Cousteau. Many myths and stories have grown up about the sea and what creatures might live beneath the waves. Many of these stories have been created to explain the array of objects that can be found on any beach. As a result we created our jewellery inspired by the sea – our Selkie Collection.
At Eliziain Elements we have tried to bring this wonder into our ceramic jewellery. The process of firing and glazing has a mystery of its our and as a result each product is unique.

Ceramic starfish drop earrings - our story
There are many different types of life on this planet. Some symbolisms are more mysterious, in fact, some of the most simple things have the most complicated symbolism.
The starfish is a simple creature and this is what makes its symbolism so important. Because starfish does not think, it is a symbol for instinct and reflexes. If a starfish feels something is wrong, it will react as soon as it can to save itself. This can apply to our life as well where your gut reaction is usually right. Be like the starfish and use your instinct and reflexes to your benefit.
Coiled shell earrings – the story
Coiled shells speak to the Power of the Sun, of Solar timing, Success and Victory.
Seashells are associated with the powers of various sea gods and goddesses of different cultures, and in particular coiled shells are the messengers of Hope and Encouragement.. Being an intrinsic part of seashore, shells are strongly associated with the element of water. Shells are also associated with the moon, which drives ocean tides. Both the element of water and the moon have strong feminine energies. Hence, shells are thought to draw things that you desire into your life.
